Galapagos Cruise - 10 days + Machu Picchu & Amazon National Geographic Islander, February 2008 There was a strike at the Cusco airport which began while we were at Posadas Amazonas - with no communication with the outside world. We were told to get to the airpost in Puerto Maldonado early to try to change our flight to Cusco to Lima - so we could make the transfer to Quito on time. When we got to the airport, the arrangements had already been made for us by you, ExpeditionTrips. Thank you for salvaging what could have been a mess - several people from Posadas Amazonas were not able to get onto the Lima flight that day- and we would have missed our connection if you hadn't been on the 'qui vive'. You set up a great itinerary, with three different segments in Peru: Amazon Cruise, Posada Amazonas and the Sacred Valley. Each segment was operated by a different agency, but to us, the changes from one segment to another were seamless. There was always someone to meet us and transfer us to the next venue. The Greatest Amazon Experience La Turquesa, June 2004 ExpeditionTrips inspired us to do this trip and the trip exceeded our expectations! I appreciated Kristy for providing me references on the Manaus trip we originally were looking at. Because of that, we ended up on the Peru trip. For us, especially my 75-year old sister, it was certainly better. I am sure this fitted our needs better. The ship could not have been nicer. The large rooms were comfortable and the crew provided great service. The ship also had a good shower! The guides were a high point.
